Possible Terrorist Attacks

Even after the exit of Inspector General David Kimaiyo, criminals are not relenting with intelligence reports warning of possible terrorist attacks in parts of the Coast region. Under pressure, Kimaiyo resigned prematurely after a string of insecurity lapses mainly blamed on the Al-Shabaab, who claimed responsibility for the Mandera killings of non-Muslims. Barely a week after his departure from the helm of the National Police Service, a large number of Al-Shabaab fighters are said to have crossed over into Kenya and are preparing to strike.
