Kenya:Shocking Video: Police Kills a Robber Who Was Still Breathing after Being Shot

Two robbers were shot dead yesterday outside GTBank along Kimathi Street. Police said that the thieves had planned to rob a forex bureau close by. It is reported that some suspects managed to flee, while a stray bullet hit a bystander.
In what is becoming custom of the police, robbery suspects are not being given a chance to live to tell the story. This video spreading online shows a police officer adding more bullets to an already dying man, perhaps to confirm the job was complete.

It’s not yet clear why an officer supposed to safeguard the law would act like so, considering this was at the centre of the CBD with multiple CCTVs, TV and mobile phone cameras.

  1. The robbers would have done the same thing to someone else. So good riddance.

  2. It is easy to say good riddance, I have been carjacked once and was afraid that I would be killed by the robbers. They made no effort to conceal their faces. In fact, the Barclays Bank Hurlingham ATM camera captured the face of one of the robbers as he unsuccessfully tried to withdraw money from my account. Even with the evidence, the OCS at Kabete kept saying there was nothing they could do. My point, the police kill the robbers, not to protect us, but to ensure that the evidence of any police complicity in the robberies dies with the robber.
